Dear Officer Coverly,
Thanks for responding so quickly to my complaint about the loud car stereo on Broad St between 6th and 7th on 8/5/08. Unfortunately, the car disappeared right after I was finished making the call. I'll keep my eye out for the next time. I'm sorry I missed your phone call.
Thanks,
Samantha Weber
McFadden January 30, 2009 Officer Whisler responded to 911 hang ups that were thought to be coming from my residence (they actually were not... due to a mix up with someone’s VOP). Received August 20, 2009

I am a police officer in Cecil County and had occasion to work with the OPD in the past. I also do all my shopping in Oxford and feel the officers of the OPD are very professional and extremely visible. I
really like the fact that I see officers walking a foot beat in the downtown area in the evenings. You don't see this type of policing too much anymore and I feel it is very valuable to the quality of life in any jurisdiction. Your officer's should be commended for their dedication and professionalism.

I would like to compliment all of the officers of the Borough of Oxford. I no longer live in the borough but am in the town alot. I have noticed that the crowds aren't hanging on the streets like they use to and that the crime seems to be down. This is because of the Chief, Sgt and Cpl along with the other officers. It takes each and every one to make the borough a safe place and a pleasant place to visit. May God be with each and everyone as they travel the streets of Oxford and help the community become a safe place.
She responded quickly, was very polite and nice about the situation.
I am glad to see that the Oxford PD checks out these 911 hang ups just in case there is a problem. It is nice to know we are in good hands!
Thanks for all you do!
P.S My 13 month old son was quite fond of her!
McFadden we miss the job you have done for the entire department and wish the Borough will remove the "Band Aid" so you can resume your abilities as Detective to better serve our community. Thanks! On behalf of the OPD.
January 2011: Thanks to the OPD for your hard work.
